Kristopher J. Hilscher was born in Richmond, VA on January 30, 1982. As a child, Kris would frequently visit his grandmother who was then a clerk of court. He gained significant exposure to the practice of law at an early age, and has maintained his desire to be an attorney ever since. Most children grow up watching cartoons while you could find Kris engrossed in an episode of “Matlock.”
Kris Hilscher attended Hampden-Sydney College on academic scholarship, where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science in 2004. Kris went on to earn his J.D. from Campbell Law in 2008. While at Campbell, Kris served as Editor-In-Chief of the Campbell Law Observer and completed several internships focused on litigation and trial work in criminal, civil, and family law.
Kris Hilscher currently focuses entirely on serving the needs of his domestic clients and is excited about the possibility of becoming a family law specialist in Wake County. Kris previously practiced in Sanford, NC where he focused on both domestic law and criminal defense. He was an active member in the legal community of Lee County as President of the Lee County Bar Association.
Kris Hilscher has received an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell – the highest possible rating. This rating is awarded to lawyers who achieve the highest level of professional excellence according to a review process involving other attorneys and judges that have attested to Kris’ work.
Kris married his high school sweetheart, Chelsey, and together have two children. They enjoy traveling and any type of outdoor activity. Kris is also actively involved with their church hosting a group and volunteering regularly in various ways.
