In 2010 Mr. Waks obtained a settlement of $1,515,000.00 for a 40 year old woman who sustained injuries from a car accident resulting in a three level cervical fusion at C4-7. The defendant refused to offer any money to settle this case until the eve of trial when Mr. Waks prevailed on a Motion for Summary Judgment.
In 2010 Mr. Waks obtained a $900,000.00 settlement for a 57 year old office manager who was involved in a motor vehicle accident and required a bi-level fusion of his neck at C5-7. The defense contended that the plaintiff's injuries were pre exisiting but agreed to settle the case days before it was set to go to trial.
In 2007 Mr. Waks obtained a $750,000.00 settlement for a woman who injured her neck in an automobile collision.
In 2007 Mr. Waks obtained a $500,000.00 settlement for a mentally disabled woman who claimed that she was sexually assaulted by a janitor who was employed by the nursing home where she resided. The janitor, who was a registered sex offender, denied he ever assaulted the plaintiff.
In 2007 Mr. Waks obtained a $1,750,000.00 settlement for a man whose hand was amputated due to a defective machine.
